Well! The "Kid In A Candy Store" feeling continued while I was on 40 meters! I was able to work some amazing stuff on 40 out as far as Zone 16 to the East, LUs South also some Africa, Caribbean, Central America, and VE's I did hear a KH6 but was unable to work him. No Alaska on 40, I know I one need for my DXCC. Friday evening the signals were coming in from the south and Saturday evening good signals from Europe. Some I really had to work for, others picked me up right away just like I was on the big beam. I did notice that the "first hop" into Europe seems to skip over Great Britain. They were there but I just could not work them easily. I'm still learning 40 meters but it seems like the best time to work it is just before dusk to just after dark, but of course this may change with the propagation and time of year.

Lots of good stuff to work on the other bands. Some good stuff out of Africa and into the Indian Ocean. There was little Asia, I did get some JAs on 20 meters a couple of Asiatic Russian but that was the extent of it. None on 15, my last contact was an Alaskan Station on 15 the only one I heard.

The most unusual bit of propagation happened Sunday afternoon on 15 Meters. I was pointed toward ZL and heard a very loud Asiatic Turkish station. I hit the 180 switch on the SteppIR and he was gone. Asiatic Turkey was coming in Long Path on 15. He was there for only about 2 minutes, worked one or two stations and was gone, faded out.

Another fun weekend on the radio. Hope everyone got some seat time in!

I just made a quick count of total different countries worked over 4 bands and the total is 108 countries.

The total zones over 4 bands were 31. There was much missing in Asia and the Pacific and a few in Africa.
