Well the bands sucked! 20 meters opened late closed early and the signals were bad. 10 never opened, 15 was poor. 40 was useless for me because I can't do FSK because of RF. The RF shuts down the FSK but I can do AFSK, the problem being that the SSB filters suck for AFSK so what I did was the strong signals and that was it. One or two Europeans on 40 and they were a tough pull. At the end of the contest I worked about three JA and they were strong. Where they came out of I don't know but a couple were 59. I even sent one QTC to JA. I did not pass all my QTCs left with 57 to exchange. The saving grace was the QTC both sent and received. With out the QTC my score would have been 40,623, over 80 K of my score was QTC. But still I was working US stations with 8 and 9 hundred QSOs, they probably racked them up on 40 and 75 meters. One Russian station had over 2000 Q's.

I also discovered that I need to use a wired mouse for contest weekend. The wireless mouse does not work well with contesting, RF and a busy computer.

Next up WW CW Thanksgiving weekend. Get those Keys ready!

Did you play this weekend? Lets hear about it!
