Solar Flare - KC1BAQ - 03-14-2014
Thought you might find it interesting. There was a major solar flare on Wednesday and we are still seeing the effects of it.

Here is a video taken several years ago, but for the last several days I've been hearing noise very similar to this:

Thankfully it has gone now. I was getting noise measuring 3 to 5 on the s meter across many bands. The worst was 15 over 9 around 9.4MHz!!! I originally thought that it was manmade interference, but now I'm suspecting solar activity.
Did anyone else hear anything the last couple days? If so, please give details.
Note to admin: Can we start a new section of the forum titled "RFI" or something similar?

While this is probably not exactly "inference" rather than Band Conditions, your suggestion about RFI got me thinking, "Interference and Technical" and there could be a use for an area for that. I'll talk to Rich about it.
