W1ATV - Walt Finishes USA-CA and is Awarded # 1245 - N1API - 06-05-2014 Ted, K1BV has announced that Walt Yatzook, W1ATV has completed his USA-CA (United Sates of America County Award) and has been awarded USCA Certificate Number 1245 Dated June 4th 2014. USA-CA is the award issued by CQ Magazine for making contacts with all 3077 Counties in the United States. Ted Melinosky, K1BV of Columbia CT is the USA-CA Custodian for the award. There is always something "new" to work on with county hunting. MARAC, (Mobile Amateur Radio Awards Club), has dozens of awards that can be obtained either individually like a "times" award (2nd time 3rd time and so on), or consecutively as you work on the individual award. More information on county hunting can be found at MARAC's web page at: http://marac.org/ Some people get started and "never finish" trying to get as many of the "books" done as possible.
