B1API CQ WW CW Contest Score - N1API - 11-25-2018

Here are my results for the weekend. I was pleased with the performance of the new radio and learned a few thing about how to tune a incoming station for highest signal. I was able to put a few out that were covered by QRN, QRM and strong side spatter. Of course no radio is going to be able to separate two stations fighting over the frequency and calling CQ 300 HZ apart. There was quite a lot of that going on on both 20 and 40 this weekend.

A good weekend. 40 was surprisingly good. I believe that I may have picked up a couple of new countries on 40. I found that it was good in the evening starting at twilight and into about a couple of hours of dark and then faded. I also found that it was good to Europe about 0630 UTC just as they are breaking daylight. Then it fades. I did not see much west on 40 meters. Sunday night I heard a JA on 40. He was trying to get my call but we never made it.

20 was the money band. I managed to work the 3Q8 on 20. I need that for the mode and also one of the once I've never worked on 20. He will get a QSL card. 15 did not start to do anything until Sunday. A few contact on 15 Saturday but not many. 10 was dead I only work K1TTT for a band and zone contact.

I had to "brake" Saturday evening. My main desktop crapped out and I had to get it into the repair shop. I'm thankful for my service contracts it's a free fix. I'm working off the laptop for now, don't have all my programs that I need but I hope to back in business by Monday. I told them I needed back ASAP.

Hope you all played radio this weekend. Please upload your scores here and also to the web at cqww.com/logcheck and use Meriden ARC as your club.
