Paranoia

I just finished watching a movie called "Paranoia". It's a good story, Stars Liam Helmsworth, Harrison Ford, Gary Oldman, and Amber Heard as four of the major characters.

It's one of these big corporate company tries to blackmail a former employee to do corporate spying on their biggest, (and most personally hated), rival for them. Lots of twist and turns and a good ending.

In one scene Liam's character is at a party at Harrison Ford's character's house. He goes in to do some searching and walks into a room and it's is full of classic amateur radio gear, receivers and transmitters. The equipment is only on scene for a few minutes. Harrison Ford walks in a catches Liam and asks what he is doing he says "bathroom" but he noticed the radios to which Harrison says "ham radio" that's what I did as a kid built all these radios. I know they weren't all kits, in fact I spotted a familiar radio that was most likely a Hamerlund, possibly an SX-24 like my father owned. One that I spent many hours tuning short wave with. I'd recognize that big orange-yellow dial anywhere. At the end of the film one of the credits goes to The South Jersey DX Association.
