Steve, if you go, maybe you could get someone to come to a club meeting and demo RMS Express and explain it to those of us with no such exposure. It would make a good activity night topic.
There is some rap on RMS express in that it uses old 1990's technology (packet modems), whereas more robust modern technologies like multimode Fldigi are software based, simpler, and the software can be run on an android, windows, mac, or linux phones or computers, and can be acoustically coupled with no hardware needed, as well as the traditional wire interface with hf and VHF radios.
Not sure if that's a fair assessment, as I have no experience with the Winlink stuff. I do use fldigi, have monitored NBEMS nets, and like it. And Fldigi is in constant development.
