10 meters was in surprisingly good shape. Saturday I got a late start but did manage some Europe. I'm sure the late start had me missing some. European openings were not "deep" in, no Russia or Soviet contacts.
Sunday seemed to be South America, Central America and the Caribbean day with good signals, the Brazilian stations sounded like they were in my backyard. There were no earth shattering contacts though I did manage to work Hawaii, and Australia for the longest contacts. Alaska was spotted a number of times but I could not hear them even though I did work some Canadian stations including VE7 BC, which is "next door" to Alaska.
Many US contacts, this was a good contest if you wanted to work on your WAS, in fact I started out Friday evening working CT, VT, MA, NH and NY some nice backscatter until the band shut down.
Hope you all got some time in on this one.
