With the Solar Flux at 227 this could be a banner weekend for the 10, 15 and 20 meter bands for the CQ WW SSB Contest this weekend. So if you are interested in DX you may want to get in there and throw your call in. The primary object is to work as many countries and zones as possible. Work your own county one time only for Country Credit. If you are working 10 meters this evening and tomorrow you may want to look toward the north for JAs, BYs, HLs and other Asians. OR try looking in to the Pacific or South Pacific for VK, ZL and other Oceania stations.
It is the most simple exchange of all the DX contests 59 (Usually everyone is 59) and 05. 05 or 5 is your CQ Zone. If you are not scoring on a computer scoring is simple. From the rules:
A. Score: The final score is the result of the total QSO points
multiplied by the sum of zone and country multipliers. Example:
1000 QSO points * (30 Zones + 70 Countries) = 100,000 (final
score).
Have fun this weekend, get on the air and make some contacts. And don't forget to credit Meriden ARC with your final score.
