Here is my effort for the weekend. After falling on my face last weekend I tried to make up for it and had a good weekend.
All the bands were active, I was surprised at how well 40 meters worked out. I was even hearing the ZL's on 40 but I could
not break the pile up though I suspect he was hearing me because I was getting the QRX sign after giving my call and he was
working someone else. 10 meters again out to Hawaii. VK and ZL were there too but I was not able to work the on 10
meters. I did work a VK on 20 which is not usual except as I was searching for him and turning the antenna toward VK
the signal was dropping. I was faced toward the US and there were a ton of stations calling him, but when I first heard him
he was much louder. I said "Hey he's Long Path". Sure enough I turned the antenna east and he was 5X7. One call and he
was in the log. Long Path. How many did not realize that if they worked him it was probably off the back of the beam?
Here are the results. If you played please submit your log and credit Meriden ARC if you are registered as one of the MARC
contesters for ARRL Submission. We need three logs to show in the results even if they are small logs.
