Here are my results for the weekend. I did quit early. I hit a goal of 500 QSOs and said, "I'm done"!
I probably could have put another 5 or 6 in the log a maybe even found a new multi or two but I was
pleased with this effort.
I have not decided what I will do for the SSB Contest. I don't know if I want to shout at 500 stations
all weekend, thought I do have a voice keyer. I know that for me 40 meters is not to productive on
phone, so I'm guessing the score will be lower then.
The biggest surprised was working a 5 watt station in Bulgaria on 20 meters and he had a decent
signal and then working him with a good signal on 40 meters. So I guess that compromise dipole
that I have on top of the tower hears well. I think that 40 was in rather good shape Friday and
Saturday. I was working 40 meters Friday / Saturday early morning about 11 PM to 1 PM when
Europe was going into daylight. The signals were quite respectable.
