This is a copy of my YCCC post. As I said before you guys did great low power.
To all:
Lot's of action with good to great conditions from 80-10 meters. I found 160 to still be in the dumpster, but
that's the way it should be at the peak of a sunspot cycle.
I spent way too much time on top band hoping for more DX.
I did have 2 visits from a Chinese Irishman "Mr. Fookin Murphy" during the weekend.
Once he thought it would be funny to stop my rotor when it was pointed south. I'm glad I know the fix for that from the shack
His second visit occurred on 20 meters when he would randomly lock my amp in transmit.
Until I found out that my keying line was picking up RF I operated at 100 watts for a couple of hours.
I have never had an RF problem like that before with the VL1000.
19 hrs in the chair - 17 high power, 2 low power.
100% S&P, Ditmore method. I'm still in therapy.
