2107 CQ WW SSB Contest Scores
#1

Please post your CQ WW SSB Scores and stories here by replying to this message. If you worked the contest we would appreciate it if you use Meriden ARC as your club for the aggregate score. Let's see how we fare in the final results. I believe we need at least three logs from the club to be listed with the club scores.

Well, the way it started out Friday I thought that it was going to be a tough weekend. After screaming at stations on 40 meters and only coming away with two contacts, one in the US and one in Aruba for a half hour I gave up. I did check back about 2 AM and worked a few more stations.

As you can see by the totals 20 and 15 were super active. In fact they were active to the point of frustration where most stations were only separated by about 1.5 kHz, sometime less. It was tough work through most of the contest. No real earth movers active though Africa was more active than I've seen it. Very little activity out of Asia. 10 meters was good to the Caribbean, South and Central America, I was lucky to catch the openings. I was surprised to hear KP2 and KP4 on. In fact I stumbled on a KP4 station starting up on 15 meters I was the second station in. I posted him to the cluster and within second there was a deep pile of calls on him. I think there were only about 2 stations on from PR that I heard.

40 meters was good from just before sunset to just after dark set in.

If you got some time in we'd appreciate that you use Meriden ARC as your club. Let's see what kind of showing we have for the CQ contests when the results come out.
