ARRL RTTY The silence from the DX is deafening! - N1API - 01-04-2015
Well I'm playing around in ARRL RTTY Roundup, (still can't figure why they are calling it "RU"), but the silence from the DX is deafening. I'm not putting a serious effort in but I've only worked 22 countries. Not sure where they all are. Europe is very quiet this contest. and not much out of SA. The ones that are working have high scores possibly because they are rare and everyone is working them. Maybe I just hit at the wrong time because I'm also working a 10-10 net and chasing some mobile county hunters.
It will be interesting to see the results and compare scores. Well back at it, lets see if there are some JA's in on 15 meters or maybe 20 is opening to Europe.

20M seemed busy last night. I know Steve made 30 or so contacts.
10M was miserable this morning. Maybe everyone was on RTTY or in the 1A0C pileup.

sometimes it takes a bit for things to sink into this aging brain.... RU. I saw that when I was on the round up for a few hours yesterday and early this morning. I thought I was decoding incorrectly or something... after the fact... R(ound) U(p).. now I get it
