WX - Updated Every Minute - N1API - 11-26-2014
For WX Updated every minute set your 2 meter radio, (or scanner), to 134.925. Most modern 2 meters radios should be able to receive this frequency. This is the NWS ATIX WX Station at the local airport. The weather is mostly geared toward aircraft but there is a lot useful info including temperature, (in C), Barometer, Wind, Visibility, WX Condition, (Snow Rain ect), Thunderstorm info ect.
When you see the temperatures on the TV Weather maps this where the info comes from. This information is especially useful in rapidly changing conditions like thunderstorms.
If you drive past the airport heading from So. Meriden to Yalesville, just after the planes ties down area after you round the big curve there is a pad with a number of poles and instruments on it and this is where the WX station is.
