Information Concerning Sky Warning Meeting May 25th - N1API - 05-14-2017

We are going to have a very packed house on the 25th. Some folks from the Fire Department may be attending too, they expressed interest in the event. So I believe we will be bursting at the seams.

Food:
Having stated the obvious, there is a fair amount of prep work needed to make this come off as a great event hosted by MARC/WARG. Eric (KB1JL) XYL and my XYL have volunteered to make some munchies. I believe Eric's XYL is making a double batch of Brownies and my XYL is doing either the same or Zucchini squares (my XYL is attending the training too). If anyone else can bring some munchies that would be great, but if you are just reply to this post (at the risk of being a door bell thread) ;-) . I don't think we need a mountain of food but something to munch on would be nice since this is a 7PM to 10PM class.

Coffee:

If the coffee urns arrive in time from Amazon (or elsewhere) we probably should be all set for coffee 'rigs' but we still need coffee. I plan to inventory the kitchen this coming weekend to see how much we have, but I think a pound of coffee should suffice for 75 people (I think). We will need cups, sugar and half-half/milk. Looking for volunteers.

Clean-up
The place is going to be a mess, I pretty much guarantee it. If I can get a few MARC members who attend to stick around and assist with the clean up that would be great. That chairs and stuff can wait until the following day unless folks are feeling ambitious. I have time available on the 26th so I can put the finishing touches on the clean up if we need to.

I plan to have MARC membership application forms out for visitor to grab. This event should be an excellent venue to capture the public's attention on what MARC/WARG is all about. To MARC members attending the event, reach out to folks you don't recognized and discuss the club.
